Hi Mac,

I read with great interest the Japanese Prisoner of War ship the Montvideo Maru is to be dived on.in February 2005.

It has come has a great suprise to all including the Lark Force association members that this was to happen.  I am trying to find out more information as I have been unable to find anything else out about this dive.

The mystery that befell the Montevideo Maru has held my interest for a long time as my great uncle was believed to have been have been on board and was a member of the 2/22nd Battalion Band.  Which as you may be aware was quite unique in the fact that it was made up entirely of Salvation Army members and all enlisted as a band under Bandmaster Arthur Gullidge.

Your help in finding out more about the dive of the Montevideo Maru would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation
Rebecca

Thank you for your kind words, I am away from Melbourne and all my records, being up in Sydney.

We will be back home early in the New Year when I will try and get details of the proposed dive on the Montevideo Maru and getr back to you then.

In the meantime best wishes for a great Christmas.

Mac.
