William Pringle was killed on the Rawalpindi

Hi

My name is Debbie and i have been researching my family tree, i have found out that a relation of mine (William Pringle) was killed on the rawalpindi when it was sunk, i am trying to find any pictures of the crew, do you have any or know of anyone that has any?

Many thanks
Debbie

Debbie,

No I do not have any photos of the crew from Rawalpindi, but here are William's details from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site. On the Plymouth Memorial, look in column 3 for William's entry.

From his official Number D/SS 9777, his home port was Devenonport, and the SS designates he had signed on for Special Service ie, for 5 years and then for a further 7 in the Royal Fleet Reserve.
