Thanks for the history of the Solomons campaign

Thank you for a sensational history of the Solomons campaign!  Your site is magnificent. And the battles you recount make a hell of a story - you've done it proud.

Hello Will,

Thank you for your kind message and your encouragement. It is always very gratifying to get a note such as yours.

Having been a part of the earliest battle in the Solomons at Savo, I have always thought not enough has been published about those crucial battles that raged in that arena over the 6 months of say, September '42 to March '43.

We just had to hang on there, or the tide would not have turned for us in the Pacific War, and that important life line between the US and Australia may well have been cut by the Japanese.

My Ahoy Site, is a collaborative effort between my WebMaster and friend, Terry Kearns in Atlanta, Georgia. I do the research and all the writing, and Terry translates that into the site that looks out onto the world of the Internet, and anyone who finds it and cares to stop , and have a browse. We do get quite a deal of comment, and many questions, that is the joy of meeting people such as yourself that I obtain from all the effort we both put in, trying to make Ahoy both informative and attractive for any viewer that clicks onto our site. Please excuse my rabbiting on !!

Will, again our thanks, and best regards from both America and Australia.
