Son of a living survivor of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis CA-35

Hi!

I am the son of a living survivor of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis CA-35 lost in enroute in the Philippine sea enroute from Guam to Leyte. I recently read items from a web page you have on this incident. I believe it may have been entitled underwater warfare.

(see "The Loss of USS Indianapolis, gone missing, but not missed")

In any case there is some information in it that I have not read to date and am wondering if you have references for this information that I could possibly receive that may further aid me in compiling additional substantiated facts for my research on this tragedy.

Any assistance, reference material such as web links or email addresses or any other general information you think may be of value in assisting me with my research into the details that led up to this tragic event in WW2 is greatly appreciated.

Dave,

Thank you for your mail, will you tell me the particular reference you would like details about?

I will E-mail you separately a number of accounts about the sinking of Indianapolis, and the aftermath of her sinking.

Best wishes,
Mackenzie Gregory.
