Rose Griffin survived sinking of Athenia

Hello There Mac,

Re your request for names of survivors who landed at Gourock or Greenock, I recently came across a gravestone in Greenock Cemetery, Scotland, which you may find interesting. CWGC link for more info:

TK,

At our URL:
"Survivors from Athenia rescued by Royal Navy destroyers, Escort, Electra and Fame, and landed at Gourock on the Clyde, Scotland"

Could you please add Rose Griffin to the Gourock list of survivors, and this head stone picture attached, plus the entry from the Commonwealth War  Graves Commission.

She was injured and unfortunately died in hospital on the 17th. of September 1939.

Thanks,
Mac.
