Richard Alun Hugh Jones was chief officer on the SS Boston. Tony Slevin's account "Convoy RB 1 and Southland"

August 27, 2012

Hello

I have a just read with great interest Tony Slevin's accounts of the RB1 convoy. My grandfather Richard Alun Hugh Jones was chief officer on the SS Boston. My mum who was only 20 months old when her dad was killed always
thought he died when the Boston was hit. However according to recent accounts he may have been rescued by HMS Veteran which was then sunk the following day.

Do you know if Tony is still contactable?

Kind regards
David Huw Childs

David,

The mail address I had for Tony has rejected my message to him asking him to contact you.

Sorry I cannot help.

Regards,
Mac.
