I was asked if I could find a photo of Commander W H Norman. RN who captained HMVS Victoria in the Colonial Navy of the State of Victoria.

John Wilkins of the Navy League here wanted it for a proposed stamp he is working on.

Ian Macfarlane was able to assist here.

Herewith a photo, from a glass plate negative I think, in the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.

Separately. I'm sending a photo of Victoria's deck looking aft, with Commander Norman and telescope behind the cannon. That photo is from the La Trobe Pictures Collection, State Library of Victoria.

I have another photo said to be the Commander, but it obviously isn't, so I won't send it.
