Mounting medals

Hello Mr Gregory,

It has been a while since I have emailed you, I hope you are keeping well. I am going to get my Dad's medals and a picture of him mounted in a frame and wondered if you knew where I may be able to get a band that would have been on my Father's naval cap/hat, Look forward to hearing from you.

Hazel Knersch

Dear Hazel,

Thank you for your E-Mail, I am glad you will have your Dad's medals mounted with his photo, that would have really pleased him I am sure. I am trying to find the address where one may order ship's cap tallies from, and will get back to you.

Veteran's Affairs have commisioned a film company to record 20,000 hours of interviews with about 200 WW2 veterans over the next 2/3 years. On last Monday and Tuesday I was the first to be interviewed in Victoria, and it took 8 hours over two days, I enjoyed the experience, all the film will go into the Archives as a permanent record of peoples memory of their part in WW2 and their lives.

Regards,
Mac.

Dear Mr Gregory,

Thank you so much for the information, looking forward to your e mail that will tell me where to get cap tallies. It takes people like you to give me some incentive to keep going, and I thank you again.

Regards  Hazel.
