Lewis Wilfred Le Page was an able seaman on board the H.M.S. Transylvania when it went down on August 1940

July 12, 2009

Dear Sir,

I have recently discovered that my father Lewis Wilfred Le Page was an able seaman on board the H.M.S. Transylvania when it went down on August 1940. He was adrift on a lifeboat for days before rescued and taken to Glasgow.

We are celebrating his 88th birthday this month. If there are any other survivors out there I would be glad to hear from you.

Yours sincerely

Robert Le Page

Hello Robert,

I do not have any detail of other survivors from Transylvania, but here are some details about her.

HMS Transylvania (F 56) from uboat.net

Regards.
