How to wear World War 2 medals and stars

Hi,

My Dad is 86 and is attending a reunion and commemerative service for those who served on HMS Neptune during world war 2. He wishes to wear the following and we are not sure how they should be worn and attached to his suit jacket. 1939-45 Star, the Atlantic Star, African Star, Pacific Star and the War Medal 1939-45. He is due to attend this 22-5-05. Hope that you can
help.

Many thanks.
Janet Madge.

Janet.

The Medals should be mounted on a bar in the order you have quoted ie as you look at them from left to right.

The mounted medals should be worn on the left breast by the medal owner.

Should a family member wear the medals at any time, they are worn on the right breast.

Your phone book in the classified ads should list Medal Mounting Services.

If I can help further please do not hesitate to come back to me.

Wish you Dad good luck for his reunion day, and I am sure he will wear the Medals he earned, particularly the Atlantic Star ( My own favourite )

with great pride.

Best Wishes,

Mac. Gregory.
