Historical consultant on a television documentary about American and Australian relations in the Second World War

Dear Mr Gregory

I am the head history teacher at Scotch College, and also a military historian who has published four books on the Australian Army in the Second World War. I'm currently doing some work as a historical consultant on a television documentary about American and Australian relations in the Second World War.

At present the program is still on the drawing-board, and the makers are looking for half a dozen Australians whose stories they could possibly use.

I have read a transcript of your interview on the Australians at War Film Archive website and am sure that your experiences would be of great interest to the makers of the documentary. I'm writing to you to ask whether you would be interested in being interviewed for this program, which if it gets off the ground will be shown by PBS in America next year.  If you're willing to send me your contact details I'll pass them on to the program's producers.

Yours sincerely
Mark Johnston
