HMS Curacoa survivor

I have read with interest the information in your website and have also read the book "A River Runs to War" written by John D Drummond and the Express Newspaper article in the 1970's.

My father Stanley Norman Russell was one of the survivors of the tragic accident with the Queen Mary on the 2nd. October 1942.

Sadly on the 1st. April 2004 aged 81 after suffering silently for many years with osteoarthritis of the knees, he slipped away to meet his shipmates.

Other ships that he served on were HMS Arethusa, HMS Norfolk

Richard K Russell

The HMS Curacoa was the light cruiser run down by the Queen Mary.
