Frank Partridge  and the Victoria Cross

Hello Mac,

Please forgive my informality, but I am a Victoria Cross researcher working on a project involving every Victoria Cross winner and am currently working on Frank Partridge Victoria Cross and wondered if you could help. My name is Doug Arman by the way. I noticed you're Web page on the Frank Partridge Victoria Cross Museum and wondered if you might give me some background to your involvement with Frank and whether we can help each other out. I will be happy to send you a copy of the report on Frank if you like by way of introduction, and in the hope that you may be able to help with further biographical details of his life, including his immediate family. We place great stock in 'The Man Behind The Cross' and try to include his immediate family in as much detail as we can to give our readers a full picture of these great men.

I hope you don't mind my contacting you this way, and look forward to your reply when you have time.

Best Wishes,
Doug

Hello Doug,

I was pleased to receive your message, and certainly do not mind your contact.

I am afraid that I have no connection with Frank Partridge or contact with his family.

I was E-Mailed by the Curator of the Frank Partridge Victoria Cross museum, who had found something of interest on my Ahoy site. I merely added the link to his site, and had written an article on the Victoria Cross at Sea on Ahoy, it may have been that piece that attracted his attention.I would be pleased to have a copy of your report on Frank, and with your approval we would add it to Ahoy.

This site is the joint effort of my good friend and web master, Terry Kearns in Atlanta Georgia, I do the writing and research, and Terry turns it all into the site that presents its face to the world and any one who may find us by chance or design.

Doug I am afraid I have little to offer you in return, but an approach to the Australian War Memorial requesting information on Frank's history etc may prove to be productive, The AWM have the largest display of Victoria Cross's anywhere in the world, and I imagine they may also have a deal of history about these awards.

Nice to hear from you, best regards.

Mac. Gregory.
