Athenia records for Ms. Davina Curtis

March 23, 2009

Dear Mac,

I follow your Ahoy! letters & emails page closely, and noticed a query from Davina Curtis, who travelled by Athenia from Canada to the UK in 1933.

There may be some good news for her.

The National Archives of the UK has now formed some commercial relationships with key partners. Amongst the projects is the scanning for view of the UK's incoming passenger records.

See this page from the National Archives of the UK:

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/searchthearchives/migration.htm?source=ddmenu_search7

which provides a link to the commercial venture by "ancestry.co.uk" here:

http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=1518&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0

where UK incoming passenger records 1878 to 1960 are searchable, and viewable FOR A FEE.

However, there is a 14 day free trial also available, which may perhaps enable Ms. Curtis to obtian the information she seeks.

Best regards,
Bob
