31st Navy Seabees' Association

Nice website, just searching and all...

Visit www.31st-seabees.com for some US Navy Seabee ( construction battalion info) and the unit's work on Iwo Jima 1945!

Also, the Seabees 9 not sure what battalion number built the airstrip on the Cook Island Aitutaki -- was so surprised that the locals know more about the american seabees than americans do!

Thanks for YOUR service in the world's freedom.

Diane Kuebler

Diane,

Thank you for your E-Mail and your kind words.

My site is a joint effort between my friend Terry in Atlanta Georgia, who uses his skills to turn all my writing into Ahoy as a web site.

The Seabees did an amazing job during WW2 and I felt received very little recognition or kudos for all the miracles they performed around the world, but particularly in the Pacific, where I had seen personally some of their feats.

Nice to hear from you,

Greetings from Australia and America.

Mac and Terry.
